Hosting

Run it in the region you choose, or on your own server.

A phone system holds call records, recordings, messages and contacts. With Vocivo you decide where they live: in a Vocivo-operated data centre in the region you pick, or on a server you control.

Two ways to run Vocivo

Hosted on Vocivo

Choose the provider and the data-centre location when you create your workspace. Your workspace runs in one Vocivo stack in that region, and your people, calls, recordings, messages and meetings stay there.

  • DigitalOcean or AWS, in the region you pick.
  • Vocivo runs the servers, the updates and the backups.
  • The central service keeps only which region your workspace is in, and a keyed hash of each sign-in email.
  • Moving region later is by request to Vocivo’s team.

Self-hosted

Install Vocivo on your own server, in your building or with the cloud provider you choose, the way companies run a self-hosted PBX. Vocivo supplies the software, the licence and the push relay.

  • Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with a static public IPv4 address.
  • One command installs everything; HTTPS certificates are issued automatically.
  • The vocivo command: update, rollback, backup, doctor.
  • A licence key per server; phones wake for calls through Vocivo’s push relay.
$ vocivo doctor
$ vocivo update

Data-centre regions

Each hosted region runs its own Vocivo stack. Regions are available on request while capacity is set up; tell sales which one you need and we confirm a date.

Who is responsible for what when you self-host

What reaches Vocivo from a self-hosted server: licence check-ins (instance ID, version, seat and active-user counts) and push-relay wake-ups (a device token and minimal call information). No call records, recordings, contacts or messages.

GCC

Saudi Arabia and the Gulf

AWS runs regions in Bahrain (me-south-1) and the UAE (me-central-1), and expects to open a Saudi Arabia region in December 2026. Until then, a company that needs its data inside the Kingdom can self-host on a server there.

Choosing where your phone system runs covers the questions to settle with your advisers. It is not legal advice.

Tell us where your data needs to live.

Sales will confirm the region, or scope a self-hosted licence for your server.
